Spend about 5 years living from one or other of these establishments. Most memorable times were the Kebab wars, as Abduls dropped their prices to push the new boy Haji's out of business. Of course the local population carefully managed to keep both in business. Happy days.

Originally opened in the early 20th century to help deal with overcrowding at London Road (renamed Piccadilly in the '60s) station. By the time of the Beeching Axe, it was unnecessary and closed, remaining disused to this day. There are plans to reopen it as again Piccadilly is again operating towards its capacity.

The Statue is now in Lincoln Sqaue, Brazennose Street accross the Albert Square from Manchester Town Hall. This was the first statue to commemorate US President Lincoln in the UK.
